Frequently Asked Questions

Contact VAD for a free estimate which can be done in person or virtually. Options and recommendations are then discussed and if you are ready to book, you get added to the calendar! We work around your schedule and find what is the most convenient, so you can spend your time elsewhere! You don't even have to be home.

The two bucket hand wash is a method that prevents cross contamination of dirt and debris between exterior panels of a vehicle. One bucket contains the water & PH-neutral foam soap, and the other contains water and a grit guard to rinse the wash mitt of any dirt and debris. This method prevents minor scratches and swirls to the exterior of the vehicle.

Yes! We currently use CRS Spotless Water Systems to filter our water of ALL Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). TDS are salts, calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, bicarbonates, chlorides, and sulfates. This process also allows for towel-free drying and prevents water spotting even in the hottest summer temps!

A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer coating that protects vehicle surfaces. Ceramic coatings are much stronger than wax products and last years compared to months. A ceramic application protects your vehicle's paint and clear coat from harmful UV rays that can cause oxidation overtime; environmental stains such as tree sap and bird droppings. The coating also provides an extremely hydrophobic surface.

Absolutely. We highly recommend installing a ceramic coating to protect your vehicle's exterior. After installation, your vehicle will gloss brighter, stay cleaner for longer periods, and makes cleaning much easier!

While we can't speak for ALL dealerships, we highly recommend against getting your vehicle coated by a dealership. Dealerships quickly apply a spray "ceramic" product and quickly dry the vehicle, all in under 15-20 minutes. A proper application is applied by hand, with specific application pads, and buffed away carefully. This process can take multiple hours, depending on the size of the vehicle. A dealership will typically charge double the price whereas VAD charges half the cost.

We get this question often, and we break it down into several factors:

  1. Time: We spend anywhere from 2-4 hours (vehicle type and condition dependant) detailing your vehicle compared to a 30-minute start-to-finish cleaning at a standard car wash. It is an in-depth cleaning focusing on the hard-to-reach areas and catering to the meticulous vehicle owner. Your vehicle's longevity is critical, and we employ a quality-over-quantity approach.
  2. Damage Prevention: People are often surprised to hear that a car wash could potentially damage your clear coat or paint, especially a drive-through car wash. With a drive-through car wash, dirt and debris from previous vehicles don't get rinsed off, after each car wash. This causes scratches and swirls on your vehicle when you drive through. We employ techniques such as the two-bucket method and focus on linear movements to prevent swirls. Water filtering/deionizing and using pH neutral soap is also important, along with the correct tools for interior vs exterior details.
  3. Tools & Experience: We use tools by experienced detailers that are typically not found or even used by regular car washes. We also use high quality, non diluted products, and focus on using tools that do not cause damage to vehicle surfaces. Most auto detailers own and operate their business and therefore vested in the success of the company through the services they deliver.
  4. Convenience: We come to you during a time of your choosing, allowing you to work, play and spend time with family or friends.

At the end of the day the big question is, how do you value your vehicle?
